WHAT IS MUAY THAI BORAN
Many people have heard of Muay Thai, but not many have heard of Muay Thai Boran. Muay Thai does in fact come from muay boran. Muay boran actually means “Ancient Boxing”. This type of martial art was used in battle when a warrior lost his weapons and had to resort to hand to hand combat.
The techniques used in muay boran focus on efficiency and neutralizing the enemy as quickly as possible because another opponent might be close by ready to strike, apart from hands and legs, elbow and knees are also used to deliver devastating blows which can quickly incapacitate an opponent.
There are four style that muay boran have developed, Muay Thasao, Muay Korat, Muay Lopburi, Muay Chaiya.
Muay Thai is Thailand’s national sport and a martial art. Often called or known as “Thai Boxing” outside Thailand. Fighters use punch, elbow, kick and knee to fight.
